DID Number
A DID number, short for Direct Inward Dialing number, gives callers a way to reach a specific person, department, extension, or destination without first going through a main business phone number or receptionist.
DID numbers work within systems such as PBX, VoIP, and SIP-based phone services. A business can assign multiple public phone numbers to employees, teams, locations, call queues, or other endpoints while managing them through the same underlying phone system.
This makes it easier to organize inbound calls, create local numbers for different markets, and route calls wherever they need to go. DID numbers are also known as direct dial numbers, direct inward dial numbers, DDI numbers, or, in some cases, virtual phone numbers.
bSimplify makes the search for DID numbers simple, comparing options to get you the right voice setup at the right price. Fill out the form on this page or learn more about our VOIP options.
