Remote Access Services (RAS) are technologies that allow users to connect to a computer, network, or other resources from a remote location. This enables users to access and use the resources as if they were physically present at the remote location. Examples of remote access services include virtual private networks (VPNs), Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), remote control software, and cloud-based solutions. The primary goal of RAS is to provide users with flexible and secure access to the resources they need, regardless of their location. Managed Remote Access Service is also known as Enterprise Remote Access Solutions, Secure Remote Access, Secure Access Management, or RAS Services.
