VPN Service

A VPN Service is a virtual private network for securely connecting two or more locations over the public Internet or a private IP VPN network. A VPN service is secured through encryption on a customers router, which is known as a CPE based VPN, or on the VPN providers network router, which is known as a network-based VPN. IP VPN solutions are typically provisioned over Internet T1 lines or private VPN T1 lines, higher bandwidth speeds are offered as well (Ethernet VPN, NxT1, DS3), with options for managed VPN services. An IP VPN network can also be configured to provide quality of service by utilizing MPLS VPN QoS technology to prioritize and route time-sensitive data applications through the shortest VPN network paths available. IP VPN networks are used by businesses to provide reliable, secure, IP VPN service for applications including credit card processing, file sharing, data backup, VOIP VPN, or remote access. An IP VPN T1 connection can also be configured by most VPN providers to carry voice, Internet, and IP VPN services together as an Integrated VPN T1 line. IP VPN services are also known as an MPLS VPNMPLS WANMPLS NetworkMPLS Circuit, MPLS T1, or T1 VPN.
